Walter Bruce Willis is perhaps best known for his roles as John McClane in the “Die hard” series of movies, but over the course of his acting career which began back in 1984 as he appeared on TV for the first time in an episode of “Miami Vice”, Bruce Willis has starred in over sixty films. He has won two Golden Globes, two Emmys and has been nominated for the Saturn Awards four times. Apart from the Die Hard series, his other famous movies include “The Sixth Sense” (1999), “the Fifth Element” (1997), “Sin City” (2005), “Pulp Fiction” (1994) and “Perfect Stranger” (2007) to name a few. Bruce ranks ninth in the list of highest-grossing actors in leading roles.
Bruce was not born in the US; in fact he was born in West Germany, at a place called Idar-Oberstein. Two years after his birth, his father, an American soldier on duty, was released from duty and he moved with his family to Carneys Point, New Jersey. It was in his junior year that he decided to drop out and pursue his acting in New York City. After working in a few off-Broadway productions, he moved to California where he got his first real break in an episode of “Miami Vice”
Bruce Willis currently stays with now wife Emma Heming in their home at Los Angeles, California. However, Bruce is also known to spend a good deal of time in his New York apartment in Trump Tower. Penns Grove, New Jersey; Malibu, California and Idaho are the three other places where he owns residential properties, as well as a farm in Montana.
